Pockets make life easier

Pockets make life easier.

In all respects! I'd be lost without my pockets! Not that I particularly put lots in them but they are always handy. I can stuff loose change in there instead of fiddling with my bag or purse, I can cram shopping lists in there when I get to the check out and need my hands free, even receipts go in there sometimes. And they are the perfect place to put your hands while you are strolling down the street.

They are, furthermore, the ideal place to stash internet articles that you want to read at a later date!

What?! Yes, you heard me right the first time, and no I haven't been drinking! Bear with me and I'll explain. :)

The pockets I'm referring to is actually an online application/tool that helps you grab articles, puts them in a 'virtual' pocket and let's you go back and read them at your leisure. So when you are browsing and you see something of interest you simply press the Pocket icon that is in your toolbar and it automatically saves it for you.

Interested? Then let's set it up!

First let's go to getpocket.com

and sign up for your account

This is my Pocket with some articles in that I have already saved. Your page, of course, will be empty.

You need to then add the Pocket icon to your toolbar. So click on the arrow next to the name Pocket at the top and scroll down to Help.

Once on the help page you need to to choose Help using the Pocket bookmarklet

You will then want to click on the 'add' link

From there grab the Pocket button with your mouse and drag it to your toolbar

Once that has been dragged into your toolbar you are ready to start pocketing articles.

When you find something just click on the Pocket button and it will save to your page. You are then free to go back and read your articles when you have time!

Easy-peasy Pocketing fun! :)

Enjoy as Pockets really do make life easier!!
